It’s looking more and more likely than the UK’s X-Factor will be returning later this year with two new judges. The eleventh series of the X-Factor recorded unimpressive ratings last year, with the return of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell not causing the ratings to soar like they did in the past. ITV & Cowell are in the process of retooling the show, to keep it fresh in the days of flailing reality competitions.
According to my sources, Mel B and Louis Walsh are out; Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell are back for the twelfth series. Louis Walsh appears to be in agreement with my sources, because the Irish manager has claimed DJ Nick Grimshaw is taking his spot on judging panel. It’s a case of trading one tired old queen for another.
I’m hearing Demi Lovato is in line to replace Mel B. If that doesn’t work out, Cowell may stick with three male judges and one female. He has to appease Cheryl now.
