Blind Item (09/10/2015)

This A-list actor rejected many opportunities to return to this franchise because of monetary and script disagreements. They’re still holding out hope that he’ll make a cameo.

Who is our A-list actor?

What is the franchise?

  1. Sounds like the plot to Birdman. Real answer: could be Hugh Jackman, who is almost done with Wolverine. I’m having trouble picturing him arguing over money, though, and judging from the last film (Days of Future Past) script problems don’t sound likely either. Is Henry Cavill A-list now?

I’m going to go with Matt Damon for Bourne. Jeremy Renner’s movie isn’t a reboot, and Damon could easily do a cameo.

Other possibilities: Bruce Willis in Die Hard? He’s a 100% Grade-A Hollywood Asshole, but he seems fine signing on with shitty sequels. Could also be Tommy Lee Jones in MIB. They just did another movie, so the franchise is alive. Terminator is dead. No, I’m going with Damon and Bourne.

    • Damon’s back for an upcoming Bourne, darling. I’m going back and forth between Mother of Six’s Hugh Grant and Bridget Jones, and your Hugh Jackman and X-Men.

      • I had no idea. Now I’m stumped. Is Orlando Bloom A list?? Or someone else from the Pirates franchise. I’m wracking my brain to think of movie franchises that: a) Are still ongoing, b) Used to have an A-list actor who quit, c) The actor is greedy and/or picky, d) audiences still want him back, and e) a cameo makes sense. There aren’t very many!

  2. it’s Hugh Grant but he definately should NOT be a part of “Bridget Jones’ Baby”-it’s plot is soooo stupid & disappointing & also hiring a cocky tv actor douche like Patrick Duffy was a huge mistake too-he shouldn’t even be wiping Colin Firth’s shoes let alone be on the same set as him and Renee Zelwegger-what was casting director thinking?!?
