It’s a horror-comedy show, but the only thing horrific and funny about American Horror Story is the ratings.
The Lady Gaga-starring anthology series has lost even more viewers, according to the recent ratings. Season 5, which debuted to 5.81 million viewers in October, is already down to 2.64 million viewers as of Episode 6. It follows in the trend of American Horror Story to debut large and lose viewers as each episode passes by, but this is the first time the ratings have reached that low since Season 2 in 2012.
American Horror Story: Hotel is the first season of American Horror Story not to feature Ryan Murphy (the creator) regulars Jessica Lange and Frances Conroy in any capacity, and the first to feature Lady Gaga and Cheyenne Jackson. Most of the negative reviews, however, have attacked the storytelling over the acting, however.
I wouldn’t be too worried if I was Ryan Murphy and Lady Gaga, however, American Horror Story remains the highest rated show on FX and cable on Thursdays. For now.
I quit after series 4
