Blind Item Revealed

The budget of this highly hyped television series has doubled due to delays, filming issues and a messy, messy set. The network regret their involvement and are fully prepared for a disappointment. Despite the wonderful cast and esteemed crew, they’re thinking a first season cancellation is the most likely result right now.

What is the show?

What is the network?

Westworld on HBO

It’s been announced today that HBO’s Westworld is ceasing production until the Spring, according to Variety. This follows several recasts and controversies in the show’s difficult production. Westworld STILL doesn’t have a premiere date, despite a development that’s lasted since 2013 and an initial plan to debut the ambitious remake in 2015.

HBO have released a statement saying, “As we head into the final phase of production on ‘Westworld,’ we’ve made the decision to take a brief hiatus in order to get ahead of the writing.”

Good spin. I hear the actors are FUMING. Don’t expect it to last more than a season, unless something changes.

  1. Maybe it’s too early for me or my coffee hasn’t kicked in, but what does “get ahead of the writing” mean? That they are running out of script or that they have too much of it?

    • I think they’re just saying that production is moving ahead when the scripts aren’t properly ready, so they’re giving them time to finish the scripts and the production will continue.

It’s bizarrely worded, but that’s HBO.

      • Ah, thanks.
That surprises me. Jonah Nolan is usually on top of things. Maybe the Dunkirk thing that he’s doing with his brother has been a distraction.
