TGL Round-Up: True Blood Star Dies, Ben Affleck Dating Again, Billie Lourd Inherits Carrie Fisher’s Vast Wealth
Actor Nelsan Ellis passed away over the weekend at the age of 39.
Ellis, best known for portraying the flamboyantly gay Lafayette Reynolds on HBO’s True Blood opposite Anna Paquin, died of complications from heart failure, according to Variety.
True Blood creator Alan Ball told the Hollywood Reporter: “Nelsan was a singular talent whose creativity never ceased to amaze me. Working with him was a privilege.”
In lieu of flowers, the Hollywood Reporter says his family has asked that donations be made to the Jenesse Center or The Restoration Ministries Church of God and Christ.
Ben Affleck is dating again, PEOPLE magazine has confirmed.
Fresh off his formal separation from actress and wife of over ten years Jennifer Garner, the Town actor and director is dating a Saturday Night Live producer called Lindsay Shookus.
“They are spending time together in L.A. Lindsay is staying at Ben’s new house,” a source tells PEOPLE of the duo, who stepped out together in Los Angeles Thursday night. “They had dinner at Giorgio Baldi last night. They arrived in a limo. They looked happy. They had a quick dinner and then returned to Ben’s house.”
PEOPLE sources claim Affleck and Shookus, 37, have known one another for years and they had dinner in London last week while he was in town for work. E! reports they also stepped out together in London to see the play Ferryman.
Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd will inherit the actress’s entire estate, PEOPLE reports.
The Star Wars actress’s assets include several bank accounts, a 2016 Tesla S, full ownership of several LLCs and a life insurance policy. Personal and household belongings like jewellery, artwork and collectables will also go solely to Lourd.
Lourd will also receive ownership of Fisher’s intellectual property, which includes her books, specials etc.
