Lucy Liu will direct the first episode of Marvel’s Luke Cage series 2.
It’s not the first time the Charlie’s Angels actress has stepped behind the camera. She has already directed four episodes of her hit CBS show Elementary.
Luke Cage executive producer executive producer Jeph Loeb said of her debut, “When you’re dealing with a bulletproof man,” Loeb said, “it helps if you have a bulletproof director.”
BoJack Horseman’s fourth series will debut on Netflix on September 8th.
The animated show, which stars Will Arnett, Amy Sedaris and Alison Brie, shared the news on Twitter with the series’s main character tweeting out a picture.
Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin has signed on to produce a new show for HBO, Variety reports.
HBO is developing an adaptation of Nnedi Okorafor’s book Who Fears Death, which is about a girl named Onyesonwu—or “Who fears death?”—in a post-apocalyptic Africa who realizes she has magical powers as she grows up, which threatens the rule of a genocidal tribe that is enslaving her people.
Okorafor announced the news herself on Twitter, noting that George R.R. Martin will be an executive producer.
Will it be Lucy Liu or Lucy Liu’s head?

I’m guessing it’ll be her entire body, but don’t quote me on it. I need to check with other sources.

I really wanted to cancel my Netflix after they removed Futurama, but the promise of more future BoJack is keeping me for now.

I bloody can’t be bothered with Netflix anymore. Don’t watch it enough to justify paying for it every month.

If you’re going to produce non-Asoiaf crap, could you at least make sure like it sounds watchable?

No kidding. It sounds like something Kevin Costner would have whitewashed in the 90’s.

I really don’t mind the premise, but I’m not too confident in the execution of it as a TV show…

Let’s fucking hope Lucy Liu is a better director than she is an actress.
