This A-list producer is panicking.
Once a pivotal part of Hollywood, their influence continues to wane as their company loses steam and esteem.
They’re the joke of the town right now and experts aren’t exactly forecasting a change in fortune, even though they have one possible live-saving, super trump card in their pocket.
Harvey Weinstein
Blind Item Posting: 11/07/16
The Story: Decades of Sexual Harassment Accusations Against Harvey Weinstein
Popular Guesses: Harvey Weinstein / Amy Pascal
This is big news.
I told you an A list producer was panicking and now you see why.
A la Roger Ailes in 2016, the powerful Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has been outed as a perennial sexual harasser by the New York Times and the Daily Mail with allegations appearing that Weinstein asked Ashley Judd to watch him shower and paid the actress Rose McGowan $100,000 as part of a settlement after an incident in a hotel room.
Weinstein has also reportedly harassed female employers of the Weinstein Company over the years.
The most interesting part about this scandal is the timing. Most of the events date back to the 90’s and 2000’s and yet suddenly it’s relevant and coming out now? I did warn you Harvey Weinstein’s influence was waning.
Funnily enough Weinstein hasn’t played the life-saving Trump card I mentioned last year, but did allude to it in his statement responded to the accusations, saying: “I’m making a movie about our president” followed by a thinly veiled threat.
Weinstein plans to sue the New York Times over the article.
Holy shit

Is anyone else reading this as confirmation that Weinstein “lost his influence” so somebody outed him as a sexual predator? That’s how I’m reading it.

If you connect the dots, dear, that is what seems to be implied.

I’m interpreting this as he was too powerful in the past and could kill stories about his deviancy, but not anymore…

If you read the article, the victims do mention that they felt Harvey was too powerful to make a complaint against. Sickening. No justice in this world.

The apology statement makes no sense… He’s admitted guilt, but still plans to sue the New York Times over the story?

Gretchen Mol was a nobody when she randomly appeared on the cover of Vogue. I was forming as a fashion fan and even I was struck by how strange that was. Behind the scenes, Weinstein was pushing hard for her success. It’s sad to know why. I hope she comes out against him. I hope every woman on that list comes out against him and reveals his true nature to the world. Like the Cosby women, it only takes one to start the avalanche and Ashley Judd has risked a lot by being that one and she deserves the highest of praise – she is brave, she is strong and she is important. I just hope the rest come out.
Rose McGowan is also believed to be a victim of Weinstein’s. She’s spoken about an executive that raped her. The NYT article reveals a $100,000 settlement between them.

If the issue is settled, Rose won’t be able to speak about it. NDAs are commonplace in the entertainment industry and compulsory in a settlement.

Some of the comments on other sites about Blake Lively and Paltrow are giving me LIFE. About time those two talentless sacks were exposed as talentless sacks. Paltrow will deflect by making solid gold anal plugs available on her website and Lively will bake something with Taylor Swift on Instagram. But we know, we know.
