Daily Blind Item — Abuse of an Icon

Our traffic is exploding from our previous post, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to forget about posting a blind item today and this one is a good’un; I can’t give too many hints, but I want you to know this took place in the 80’s and the 90’s.

He’s one of most iconic actors and his personal life has often received a lot of media attention, but there’s a huge detail often omitted by the press and it would be perfect for the #MeToo movement.

‘It was wrong,’ says a source exclusively to me. ‘The people around him should taken care of him and they didn’t, and that’s how a monster crept in.’

I cannot get the source to expand further, but they continue to hint that our actor was sexually abused by an father figure in the industry when he was coming up.

So, tell me, Gossipers:

Who is our actor?

  1. These blind items always make me feel uneasy inside and I really hate how the Hollywood system has seemingly abused children and women for years without any punishment…

  2. I wish whoever this is felt comfortable enough to open up about it. It would be so important for male survivors of abuse all around the world and could definitely be one of the most important stories to come out of 2018. I fully understand the discomfort and respect the decision not to talk about such a painful subject, though.

  3. Let’s break this down. It’s hard since it’s been left vague for legal reasons.

Mark Wahlberg. He was in the industry in 1984 at the age of 13 or 12 depending on the date. He, however, left shortly after and only reemerged in 1990 as Marky Mark. I’m ruling him out.

Elijah Wood. 16 at the time of entering the industry. Rose to prominence during his early 20s. Potentially him.

Macaulay Culkin. Always the go to guess for blind items about famous child abuse. Definitely an option.

Christian Bale. The blind specifically mentions a media interest in personal life and I don’t think I’ve read an article about his personal life ever. Is he iconic? Maybe as Batman. Still, I’m ruling him out too.

Leonardo DiCaprio. I didn’t see him mentioned, but the time frame fits and so does the club about media interest in the personal life. Possibly him.

I can’t say anyone for sure, but if I had to guess? I would go with Elijah Wood. Possibly even Leo because it would explain a lot about his refusal to marry and have children.
