The Return of The Gossip Life

Guess who’s back, back again. GL’s back, tell a friend.

You heard that right, Gossipers. After what felt like a break of Debra Winger proportions, the Gossip Life has returned to provide you with the best gossip and blind items available online, complete with classic Eminem lyrics.

We can only apologize for the lost time, but technical difficulties, as well as work commitments, caused us enter a state of chaos late last year and we barely had time to bathe for the most part, so the Gossip Life had to go on a short hiatus.

We’re all washed up now and fortunately our technical difficulties are solved and our work commitments have lulled, so we’re here and dedicated to having a great week back with several great reveals, stories and posts already in the works.

Stay clicking. We have a lot to catch up on.

PS: Despite popular rumor, no one at the Gossip Life is secretly Meghan Markle and anyone caught spreading that will not only be banned, but placed in the Tower of London ūüėČ

PSS: Do we still want Disqus? We have the option now.

The Gossip Life Says Goodbye

There’s no easy way to say this, Gossipers, so I’ll be frank: Christina’s bitch needs a break, Sam needs to recharge and Scott and Johnny Box Office are burned out.

That’s why¬†The Gossip Life is scheduled for a near month long vacation from today, but the entire team will return with the greatest gossip and a week of blind item reveals on the 20th of November.

Thank you for supporting us and we look forward to returning to you in November.

Yours in Gossip,

TGL Team

27/11/17 UPDATE: Due to personal and professional reasons, The Gossip Life is extending our break by another week.

Several reveals and blind items are already written for our eventual return with reveals on Kevin Spacey and the Daily Mail on the horizon.

Apologises. Sometimes life gets in the way.

The Gossip Life Supports Net Neutrality

In light of ongoing circumstances, we here at The Gossip Life are pleased to announce we fully support Net Neutrality and keeping the internet free from potential extra fees and censorship.

Battle for Net Neutrality describe what it is:

Net neutrality¬†is the principle that Internet providers like Comcast & Verizon should not control what we see and do online. In 2015, startups, Internet freedom groups, and 3.7 million commenters won strong net neutrality rules from the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The rules prohibit Internet providers from blocking, throttling, and paid prioritization‚ÄĒ”fast lanes” for sites that pay, and slow lanes for everyone else.

“Cable companies are famous for high prices and poor service. Several rank as the most hated companies in America. Now, they’re lobbying the FCC and Congress to end net neutrality. Why? It’s simple:¬†if they win the power to slow sites down, they can bully any site into paying millions to escape the “slow lane.”This would amount to a tax on every sector of the American economy. Every site would cost more, since they’d all have to pay big cable. Worse, it would extinguish the startups and independent voices who can’t afford to pay. If we lose net neutrality, the Internet will never be the same.”

Websites such as Reddit, Twitter and even PornHub support the cause and we hope you do too. Let’s keep the internet free and reject censorship and excessive fees!

Support Net Neutrality here.

The Gossip Life Returns & Further Updates

The Gossip Life’s second run on WordPress officially begins today and we have a great first week of posts in store for you. It’s going to be a truly amazing beginning again for gossip hounds with a blind item set to be revealed on a daily basis by Christina, as well as the usual editorial pieces by Sam and lots of news to cover by Scott.

We thought we’d answer a few of the common questions we’ve received over the past week or so via email and whatnot.

Will Disqus be coming over?

Yes. We plan on using Disqus for our comment section in the future, but due to a technically difficulty with our name servers, the transfer is going to take a couple of months. Disqus will eventually be here, though, so don’t worry.

What about your old posts?

With the exception of a few high scoring posts, we’ll be leaving the majority of our archives behind on our old Wix site. You can access our old posts by clicking this link.

Is The Gossip Life now subscription based?

No. The Gossip Life remains a proud member of the free press. Literally. We’ve moved builders. Our status as a free service remains the same.

This is an exciting time for The Gossip Life and the team here is pleased you’re sticking with us for all your gossip needs.

Yours in Gossip,

TGL Team xoxo

The Gossip Life’s New Old Home

Gossipers, for months now our loyal commenters have requested we leave Wix because of the slow interface, various glitches and Queen Sarah in the comment section.

We’ve heard your cries and although we cannot ban Queen Sarah from commenting, we can pack up our crag in a bag and find a new home with a quick interface and no glitches, so we’re heading on over to a different website builder that some of you may recognise. It’s of course our old home of WordPress.

Stick with us. We’ll be back in action by next week.

Yours in Gossip,
TGL Team xoxo

PS: Don’t ever claim we don’t listen to you!

Happy Anniversary, Gossipers!

It’s been a year since our launch in May 2015 as Brappp and I’m pleased to report that it’s been a very successful launch for us. We’re happy with our numbers and growth, and 2016 is set to be an even bigger year than the last..

We launched in May 2015 and over our first month (with a lot of advertisement) we secured about 15 thousand visits. Last month with no advertisement on our part, there were just over fifty thousand visits.

This site wasn’t launched to earn money. We’ve yet to earn a penny. It was launched to create a link between show business and you, and I think we’ve been doing a great job.

I’d like to thank Anarchy Gossip, Ohnotheydidnt, AGC and the many others who frequently cover us. Thank you for embracing us to the Gossip community.

And thank you all in our¬†community,¬†for visiting us and commenting on our items — you¬†welcome and accept others, you make us laugh and smile, you are the reason we exist and we do this.

After all, what’s life without gossip? xxx

Meta Blind Item (23/03/2016)

This is a meta blind item, but I think it’s worthy of your attention.

As some of you may know, the people involved in The Gossip Life are actually in the journalism / show business industry, mostly UK / LA-based. We’re not outsiders primarily relying on inside sources (although like every good journalist we do have our sources) and this has given an insight into how the industry is reacting to us.

At first, we were dismissed as another ‘fake gossip site’ but as¬†our blind items broke in the mainstream press as news stories we gained more and more credibility, and more and more enemies… HBO, for example, is believed to hate¬†us for revealing the shit storm that is Westworld, and I hear blames us for ‘starting off an investigation by one of the trades that led to a huge article.’

Several little bratty actresses have been known to complain about us, too,¬†but there’s one specific A-list producer that really despises us, and has been working¬†very hard on trying to discover our real identities and ‘exactly who we work for’.

We thought we’d take this opportunity just to say ‘Hi!’ to them. It shouldn’t be too hard to guess when you look at our past revealed items.

Any guesses on who the A-list producer is?

The Gossip Life wants… You!

We’re looking to take on more writers. If you have a unique idea (weekly fashion reviews, brutally honest reviews etc.), then we want to hear it.

We can’t pay you. No one makes money here. But we will welcome you into our little team and you’ll be appreciated by the growing community we have here.
