Blind Item Revealed

This B-list television actress is on a scandalously sexy TV show and after the first season, she was known for getting nude on television. She was unhappy with the reputation and refused to do nudity unless she felt it was absolutely necessary to the scene. After her ‘mainstream movie career’ flopped, however, she’s suddenly much more open to nudity… as you’ll be seeing on the next episode of the show this weekend in a very heated moment.

Who is she?

Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones

Blind Posting: 13/05/2016

As seen on the latest episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke appeared nude for the first time in several years.  I won’t go too deep into the scene for fear of spoilers, but it was a VERY heated moment indeed.

Game of Thrones Breaks the Internet

It’s the moment HBO wait for every season and it’s come early this year, coming only it’s second episode, but Game of Thrones has broken the Internet. Featuring the shocking deaths of Roose Bolton and Balon Greyjoy, and more notably the return to life of Jon Snow, the episode was soon trending on social media, Reddit and various other media mediums.

Game of Thrones’ opened to ratings that were a little lower than last season, but this or the next episode is thought to see Game of Thrones rise again and likely break its viewing records.

Blind Item Revealed

The first episode of this A-list TV show has leaked onto the deep web. Expect to see the news story breaking very soon as it reaches more mainstream websites. What is it?

Game of Thrones

Blind Posting: 23/04/2016

The first episode of Game of Thrones was to be released by HBO on the 24th of April, but it actually leaked the morning before on the deep web. The Telegraph in the UK was the first newspaper to realise this and posted an article later that night. This follows the damaging leaks Game of Thrones faced last year when four episodes found their way on the Internet.

Best Song & Trailer Combos

It’s very rare that a movie trailer is accompanied by a song that is perfectly fitting and enhances the entire viewing experience, but on the rare occasion the editors do mix a good song with a good trailer – they usually knock it out of the park.

Here are some of our favourites.

Suicide Squad & Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”

What better than to combine what is sure to be the wackiest superhero movie ever with the pinnacle of eccentric, Queen? The first trailer to Suicide Squad gets it all right – the mix, the mood, the music. It’s electrified the Internet with the prospect of Suicide Squad.

Watch it.

The Connection and Cher’s ‘Bang Bang (My Baby Show Me Down)

You may not have heard of the little seen French film The Connection. It stars Academy Award-winning actor Jean Dujardin and the sublime trailer features a smoky, sexy bilingual rendition of Cher’s ‘Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). For a film about drug trafficking, that’s pretty ballsy.

Watch it.

Game of Thrones’ Season 5 and David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’

It’s a bizarre contradiction considering Westeros prides itself on being a land of grey, not black and white, but somehow the rocky ballad ‘Heroes’ by David Bowie finds itself at home in the trailer to Season 5 of Game of Thrones, creating an epic, fast-paced feel that just works.

Watch it.

Terminator Salvation and Nine Inch Nail’s ‘The Day The Whole World Went Away’

It’s a terrible shame Terminator Salvation didn’t quite live up to critical or commercial expections, butnone of that can be blamed on the trailer for the Christian Bale film, which is memorable and effecient, helped hugely by the usage of Nine Inch Nail’s “The Day The Whole World Went Away.”

Watch it.

Watchmen and Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘The Beginning is the End is the Beginning’

Unlike Terminator Salvation, Zack Snyder’s Watchmen truly did not deserve to flop at the box office. It was a unique superhero romp that satirized and defied expectations. Its trailer is no different; rejecting the typical score heavy trailers that were popular at the time, for a dark, foreboding trailer that projects doom. And it has Matthew Goode.

Game of Thrones’ PR Stunt Backlash

HBO & YouTube

It’s the biggest show in the world, but HBO’s marketing team surely didn’t see that winter that was coming with their endorsement of the International Rescue Committee. Featuring series stars Lena Headey, Maisie Williams and many more, the International Rescue Committee official YouTube released a short video of the Game of Thrones’ stars asking for donations to the organisation that pledges to help refugees.

The official video boasts a woeful 452 likes against an overwhelming 2,370 dislikes with comments disabled after hundreds of critical comments and many online users criticising the series, the cast and HBO for their actions, pointing to the cast’s large salaries. Ouch!

Blind Item Revealed

This A-List writer is currently deep within a depression over a development that’s happened with his career. He’s under so much pressure to deliver that he may just crack.

Who is our writer?

What is the development?

George R. R. Martin & Bantam Books

George R. R. Martin

It’s official, folks. George R. R. Martin, beloved author of the A Song of Ice and Fires series that spawned Game of Thrones, has announced on his Livejournal page that book 6 of his epic fantasty series will NOT be released before Season 6.

Fans, publishers and even translaters and editors (many were told to be ready) were expecting “The Winds of Winter” before Season 6 of the HBO series, which is believed to reveal many key plot points such as “Will Cersei win her trial?” and the big one “Is Jon Snow alive? ”

Sadly for many fans, the answers to these questions will be revealed on the screen, not the page.

GRRM was told in May 2015 that for the book to be released in time that he’d have to get a complete manuscript to his publisher in October. We knew in June (and posted) that GRRM was already struggling and as he admits in his blog post, the pressure and the disappointment was eating him up.

We have a little more gossip on this. GRRM was given an extended deadline by his publishers when he admitted he couldn’t meet the October deadline for them. It would’ve still allowed the book to be released before Season 6 and he’d have a couple more months to iron out those finer details! Great. How nice of them, right? In truth, this was always the REAL deadline. His people knew that he wouldn’t meet an October deadline, but thought an earlier date would give him the incentive to wrap it up by the extension. Alas, to their shock (and annoyance, I’m told) he couldn’t meet that one either.

I’d love to be able to tell you when the book will be out, but all I’m hearing is “third or fourth quarter of 2016… we hope.”

Game of Thrones Return with Cryptic Teaser

It’s only three months until the sixth season of Game of Thrones returns to our television screens, but the fans are already salivating for the release of the hit HBO show, and HBO have provided us with some nourishment. Along with a teaser poster that features the believed dead Jon Snow last week, HBO has released a teaser for the sixth season, featuring no new footage but images of deaths and famous moments from previous seasons, all accompanied by an austere voice over delivered by legendary actor Max von Sydow, who joins the series for next season.

Game of Thrones Wins Best Drama at the Emmys

It’s one of the biggest upsets of the year, but fans of Game of Thrones won’t be too unhappy. The HBO fantasy series scooped the gong for Outstanding Drama Series over the favoured Mad Men at the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards. It wasn’t all bad for the period drama, though, as seven-time nominee Jon Hamm finally took home the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series award.

Other winners include Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage, who secured Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for a second time, and Viola Davis, who is the first black actress to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Game of Thrones took home the most gold with a record 12 awards. See the full list of winners and losers here.
