1656 – Led by King Charles X Gustav, the armies of Sweden and Brandenburg defeated the forces of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth near Warsaw.

1865 – Off the coast of Crescent City, California, U.S., the steamship Brother Jonathan struck an uncharted rock and sank, killing 225 people; its cargo of a large number of gold coins was not retrieved until 1996.

1930 – Uruguay defeated Argentina at Estadio Centenario in Montevideo to win the first Football World Cup.

FRIENDS Reunite in New Teaser


Fans of the NBC show FRIENDS have been happily awaiting the return of the cast since a mini-reunion was announced several months, but now they no longer have to wait.

Missing Matthew Perry who is treading the boards in London, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Scwhimmer, Matt Le Blanc and Lisa Kudrow took part in a TV tribute for legendary TV director James Burrows, and a teaser for the show has been released.

It’s been a long time coming, but the acclaimed ensemble of FRIENDS has finally reunited. Well, most of them. Missing Matthew Perry, who played Chandler and is currently performing in a play in London, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt Le Blanc and David Schwimmer are seen in a photo with several cast members of The Big Bang Theory at a gala for legendary television director James Burrows.

The five cast members will also film a tribute for Must See TV: A Tribute to James Burrows, which will air Sunday, Feb. 21 on NBC.
