Supergirl Pilot Leaks Online

In a story that’s not being covered by the mainstream media, the pilot of CBS’s Supergirl leaked online over the weekend. The pilot, which stars Melissa Benoist, 26, as Kara Jor-El, has received derision from fans on the basis of its trailer and has been critically maligned by those who have watched the pilot.

I’m seeing the sort of criticism aimed at Supergirl that I see aimed at nearly all network TV pilots: acting ranges from good to bad (Benoist = good, Flockhart & Brooks = bad), special effects are pretty cool, the writing is bad. One criticism I’m seeing aimed at Supergirl that seems to be exclusive to show: the costume is dreadful.

Supergirl with have its debut on CBS sometime in November.
